Episode 36: George's "Dark Horse"

Happy 2014, everyone!  It's going to be a big Beatles year, to say the least.  In this episode, we dig into George's maddeningly inconsistent album from 1974, Dark Horse.  Lots of mixed reactions on this, but as always, we have a good time talking about the album and you'll hear Chris do some hilarious imitations of the dated instruments on some of the tracks.  Look forward to a full year of podcasts!

Listen as we dissect the Beatles' second movie, "Help!" from 1965, recently issued on Blu-ray.  Hear about all the pratfalls, hijinks, Ringo's ring, Indian music, trips to the Bahamas and Austria, and much more.  We also play short clips of all the songs used in the movie and place the film in its context within the Beatles' story.  If you haven't seen the movie or it's been a while, you might want to watch it before listening.
